In-form Asante Kotoko marksman Sogne Yacouba has been accused of using black magic to boost his performances.
The "juju" accusation is coming from Ashanti Gold owner Dr Kwaku Frimpong, who lost his lamborghini in a bet after his club lost 3-2 to Kotoko in the first leg of a high profile friendly series on Sunday - a game that saw Yacouba bag a decisive brace.
''Asante Kotoko should warn their Striker Sogne Yacouba to stop putting juju in his football boots and in opposition’s post and play clean football," Dr Frimpong, popularly known as "Champion", complained in an interview with Kumasi-based Nhyira FM.
"We will not allow that juju tricks in Obuasi,'' he added.
Yacouba, 26, joined Kotoko at the start of the 2017/18 season from Stade Malien. The Burkinabe has since proved influential, becoming a fans' favourite with his goal scoring prowess.
Ashanti Gold welcome Kotoko to the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi for the second leg of the friendly clash on Sunday September 16.
